Openings for Fall 2025
Sastimos Holistic Health, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, offers a 1–3-month, one-on-one holistic health apprenticeship focused on hands-on learning in Ayurvedic and bioregional herbal medicine. This dynamic, industry-oriented program teaches herb identification, medicine-making, client care, and self-care through immersive experiences in the apothecary, nature, classroom, client sessions, and retail settings. Tailored to each apprentice’s interests, it integrates core Ayurvedic, bioregional herbalism, and Rromani principles of land connection, fostering holistic healing and personal growth. Apprentices will learn to weave awareness of societal issues into their herbal practice, using this knowledge to support the communities they tend to as they continue to thoughtfully expand their work.
We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, recognizing the deep wisdom of Indigenous and folk medicines worldwide. Working closely with Jennileen, a respected Rromani herbalist and Ayurvedic practitioner, apprentices will deepen their understanding of herbs, the industry, and their own cultural influences, ensuring their unique voice shapes their herbal practice. Each apprenticeship lasts 1–3 months.
